SOUTH KOREA: A Sarawak delegation led by Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel has paid a strategic working visit to Seongnam City, holding a productive engagement session with Rebellions Inc.

The Rebellions Inc team was headed by chief executive officer and co-founder, Park Sunghyun Park, together with director of strategy, Haejin Kim and director at InterVest, John Ha.

Accompanying Muhmmad during the visit were senior officials and industry leaders.

The discussion centered on potential collaboration and synergy in semiconductor development, a key area that aligns closely with Sarawak Semiconductor Roadmap and Sarawak commitment to emerge as a global semiconductor hub by 2030.

“The session was described as a significant step toward advancing global partnerships in the Sarawak semiconductor sector.

“This engagement forms part of Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to build international linkages and attract high-value investments, particularly in the technology and innovation sectors,” the statement said on Wednesday (Oct 1).

Meanwhile, Park expressed excitement about the prospects of collaborating with Malaysia, particularly Sarawak in exploring joint innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor technologies.
