KUCHING: Sarawak continued to enhance financial governance, accountability and public service delivery through the 2025 State Government Financial Statements audit exit conference and an Auditor General’s Dashboard engagement session.
The meeting, held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Monday (June 15), was jointly chaired by State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Auditor General Datuk Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi.
Also present were State Financial Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar, State Accountant Datuk Elean Masaat, as well as senior officers from the Sarawak government and the National Audit Department.
The meeting reviewed the preparation of the state’s financial statements, covering allocation management, expenditure control, state revenue performance, and the implementation of development projects under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) for the 2025 financial year.
Discussions also focused on issues requiring attention, as well as measures to further improve the state’s financial management.
Meanwhile, the Auditor General’s Dashboard (AGD) engagement session provided a platform for the state civil service to examine issues raised in the Auditor General’s Report and recorded in the AGD system.
The session also enabled government agencies to exchange views, provide detailed explanations, and identify measures to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability in public service delivery.
