KUCHING: Sarawak Water stepped forward in support of media practitioners covering the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting by contributing drinking water supplies for the DUN media operations room through the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

The contribution, made throughout the eight-day sitting from May 11 to 20, was aimed at ensuring reporters, photographers, and media personnel remained hydrated while carrying out their duties covering debates, policies, and key developments from the state assembly.

Sarawak Water said the initiative reflected its appreciation for the dedication and professionalism shown by media practitioners who worked tirelessly from morning until late evening to keep the people of Sarawak informed with accurate and timely news updates.

“As an organisation that remains close to the community, we understand that access to reliable information is just as important as access to clean water,” Sarawak Water said in its Facebook post, today.

The utility company described the contribution as a small gesture of gratitude to members of the media for their continuous commitment and hard work throughout the DUN sitting.

The drinking water supplies were channelled to the media operations room via UKAS, which coordinated support for media personnel stationed at the state assembly.
