KUCHING: Sarawak Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Datuk Ibrahim Darus is set for a promotion and transfer to Bukit Aman as part of a nationwide reshuffle involving 36 senior police officers next month
According to Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) secretary Datuk Kamaruzaman Abdullah, the transfers will take effect on March 10.
Ibrahim will be promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP) and take on the role of deputy director in Bukit Aman’s Special Branch 2.
With his transfer, the Sarawak DCP position will be left vacant.
Meanwhile, Sarawak’s deputy chief of Special Branch Intelligence and Operations Yuszida Basria will assume the role of director of Intelligence at the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MBCA).
Yuszida will be promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SAC) from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
