SARIKEI: The newly completed Sarikei Division Sarawak Government Administrative Centre stands as a proud landmark for the local community and a testament to the state government’s continued commitment to enhancing public service delivery.

Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said the building brings together various government departments and agencies under one roof and houses a one-stop government service centre known as ‘Service Sarawak’.

“Undoubtedly, the existence of this administrative centre will make it easier for the public to deal with the various services provided by the government.

“We are confident that with modern, comfortable, and customer-friendly facilities such as the impressive structure before us today, the quality of public service delivery will be further enhanced.

“This is in line with the Sarawak Government’s desire and aspiration to strengthen a more efficient, effective, and people-oriented service delivery system in line with the Post-COVID Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030,” he said.

He said this in his speech during the launching of the Sarikei Division Sarawak Government Administrative Centre here on Wednesday.

He also called upon all civil servants, particularly those serving in Sarikei, whether at the state or federal level, to always uphold a work culture of integrity, maintain high professionalism, practise openness, foster teamwork, and focus on delivering quality outcomes.

Huang, who is also the federal Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Deputy Minister, noted that the PCDS 2030, introduced by the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has already begun to bear fruit and demonstrate tangible results.

He noted that the inclusivity policy under PCDS 2030 has successfully ensured that no one is left behind.

“Regardless of race, whether in urban or rural areas, the people of Sarawak across all corners of the state have started to benefit from the development being implemented through various programmes and projects.

“We are confident and firmly believe that Sarawak will continue to progress and prosper under PCDS 2030,” he said.
