KUCHING: The Save Rivers and friends held a media engagement with local media outlets to discuss their organisation and its interest during a ‘Sembang-Sembang’ session here on Wednesday evening.
Chairman Peter Kallang said Save Rivers is an organisation that was established in 2011.
He said Save Rivers is still a work in progress but plans have been established.
“Some of the things that we are doing now are still premature so I don’t think I can reveal them yet.
“We have a lot of big plans in our head,” he told members of the media.
Kallang said Save Rivers supports and empowers indigenous people in Sarawak to protect their land, lives and watersheds.
He said the organisation is partnering with other non-governmental organisations (NGOs), both international and local, to achieve their goals.
