MIRI: Police have detained a security guard of a primary school in Ulu Suai, Niah for verbally threatening his co-worker.
The 33 year-old man was picked up from a longhouse in Suai, Niah, last Friday by a team from Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to assist in their probe on the case.
In the incident on February 27 this year, the suspect had allegedly uttered threatening words “Ku tibeak dik ku pantap dik jaga tik bisi orang nganti ka aku kerja sigi ndak selamat diau dalam pondok tok” (I’ll shoot you and I’ll stab, I assure that you’re not safe when I am here and nobody around in this guardhouse).
He allegedly uttered those words inside a guardhouse at the school.
Fearing for his safety, the complainant aged 50, filed a police report.
Acting on the report lodged, a team of Miri CID picked up the suspect to assist in their probe on the case and seized a pump gun, a machete and 13 live bullets from the suspect.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for Criminal intimidation.
