KUCHING: Malaysian graduates can now apply for a fully sponsored semiconductor upskilling programme that comes with a monthly training allowance.
The SMD-CENTEXS Semiconductor Mastery Programme, supported by the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD), is scheduled to begin in August this year.
Jointly facilitated by SMD Semiconductor and the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS), the programme is designed to equip graduates with industry-relevant skills for the semiconductor sector.
Participants may choose to specialise in either Digital Integrated Circuit (IC) Design or Analog IC Design.
The curriculum was developed with the involvement of local and international industry experts to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industrial application.
Participants will receive full sponsorship throughout the programme together with a monthly training allowance.
They will also receive guidance from local and international industry experts and have access to assisted job placements upon successful completion of the programme.
The programme is open to Malaysian graduates aged between 21 and 35 who hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical disciplines.
Applications close on June 25.
