KUCHING: An elderly man has passed away after falling from a hotel building here this afternoon.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said it received a distress call at 2:41 pm regarding the incident, and a team from the Batu Lintang fire station was dispatched to the scene, located about two kilometres away.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the victim, an elderly male, had fallen from the building prior to Bomba’s arrival.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics,” the department said in a statement today.
No rescue operations were carried out, and the operation concluded at 3:06 pm.
The case has also been handed over to the police for further action.
