SIMUNJAN: A total of 26 Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) have been identified for implementation in the district in 2027 following a preliminary site survey involving multiple agencies and stakeholders yesterday.

Of the total, 23 projects fall under the RTP of state assembly member (ADUN) while the remaining three are under the RTP of member of parliament (MP).

The proposed projects involve new construction works as well as upgrades of facilities and basic infrastructure, including public amenities, drainage systems, road connectivity and other needs identified based on applications and local community priorities.

Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee also took part in the site survey series to personally inspect the proposed project locations and gain a clearer understanding of the actual ground conditions.

Her presence also allowed for direct coordination with the relevant agencies as well as ensuring that each proposed project meets the actual needs of the community.

The preliminary site survey aims to assess the suitability of project locations from technical and practical aspects, including soil conditions, road access, drainage systems and safety factors.

It also serves as an important platform to identify potential early challenges and allows mitigation measures to be planned before actual implementation begins.

Through this field engagement, each agency was also able to provide technical input, suggest improvements to project scopes, and ensure compliance with established guidelines and specifications.

In addition, on-site discussions helped to speed up coordination between agencies, thereby reducing the risk of delays during implementation.
