SARATOK: SK Sungai Entebu Saratok recently held its Outstanding Students Appreciation Ceremony 2025 to recognise pupils’ achievements and encourage a culture of excellence in education.
The ceremony was officiated by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka Branch honorary secretary Gapor Ahmad, who attended on behalf of the Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri.
Congratulating the school, Gapor praised SK Sungai Entebu headmaster Asagap Ali Hasan and the entire school community for organising a meaningful event that serves as motivation for students to continue striving for excellence in the future.
In his remarks, he highlighted the Sarawak government’s continued commitment under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) administration to strengthening education by providing Sarawakian students with free tertiary education beginning in 2026, in addition to assistance such as laptop aid and an annual RM1,200 allowance.
He said various educational initiatives have been put in place for students to take advantage of, aimed at nurturing competitive human capital and producing future leaders with strong values, discipline, and exemplary character.
Among the awards presented during the ceremony were the Preschool Moral Values Award, Preschool Student Icon Award, Best Character Award for each class, Preschool Completion Certificates, Best SSDM Award (Student Category), Academic Prefects Certificates, Best SSDM Award (Teacher/Support Staff Category), Best Attendance Award, School Resource Centre Prefects Certificates, UASA Level Two Awards, Best PBD Award by Subject, Class Leader and Assistant Leader Certificates among others.
