SIBU: The Sungai Merah Fire and Rescue Station (Bomba Sungai Merah) caught a python in a washing machine belonging to a family in Taman Desa Kemuyang here yesterday.
Bomba received an emergency call from a member of the public at 8.13am and immediately despatched a team headed by Joseph Balon to the address.
They reached the house at 8.47am and proceeded to tame the reptile.
Balon said the captured snake had released back to the wild.
