Miri: Sarawak Oil Palms (SOP) marked Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri with a lively and memorable celebration at The Cliff House, the residence of Tan Sri Datuk Ling Chiong Ho.

The festive event brought together approximately 300 SOP employees and their families, reinforcing the company’s spirit of cultural appreciation and unity.

SOP’s chief operating officer Eric Kiu personally welcomed guests, setting a warm and hospitable tone for the evening. Also in attendance were department heads and senior managers.

Attendees were treated to a vibrant programme of traditional and modern performances, including energetic lion dances and cultural showcases.

The festivities were further enhanced by a thrilling lucky draw and the distribution of special angpao gifts for children.

“It is a privilege to stand before you today as we come together to celebrate two significant cultural and festive occasions—Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” said Kiu.

“I extend my heartfelt wishes for a prosperous and joyous Chinese New Year and a blessed Hari Raya Aidilfitri. May this year bring us success, happiness, and good health.”
