KUALA LUMPUR: Standard Chartered Saadiq Malaysia (Saadiq Malaysia) has appointed Bilal Parvaiz as its chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from March 15, 2024.
The bank said he will take over the reins from Mohd Suhaimi Abdul Hamid, who will be stepping down to pursue other opportunities.
Bilal will report to Standard Chartered Malaysia CEO Mak Joon Nien and Standard Chartered Saadiq CEO of group Islamic banking Khurram Hilal, it said in a statement today.
Bilal joined Saadiq Malaysia in 2014 after completing his four-year career at Standard Chartered Saadiq, United Arab Emirates, and was most recently the bank’s head of Islamic corporate, commercial and institutional banking.
Saadiq Malaysia is the Islamic banking subsidiary of Standard Chartered Malaysia. – BERNAMA
