SIBU: In a caring spirit, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan Branch donated a hospital bed to an elderly man who is currently bedridden due to a lung-related illness at Jalan Hock Ming, Sungai Bidut, here on Saturday (April 25).
The team visit was led by the branch chairman, Cr Kevin Lau Kor Jie, together with Kapitan Tang Chuo Ging.
According to Lau, the visit aimed to provide much-needed support not just to the patient but also to his family.
He said prolonged immobility had caused discomfort to the elderly man and had created a significant physical and emotional burden on the caregivers.

“We understand the difficulties the family is going through, and we hope this donation can offer some relief and support during this challenging time,” he said.
Lau also extended his sincere appreciation to Kapitan Tang for bringing the matter to their attention.
He further thanked the generous sponsor whose donation made the initiative possible.
He emphasised that such acts of kindness and collaboration are essential in strengthening community bonds and ensuring that assistance continues to reach those in need.
The team also conveyed their well wishes to the elderly man, keeping him in their thoughts and prayers, and wishing him strength and a steady recovery.
