KUCHING: The progress seen across rural Sarawak today remains deeply rooted in the contributions of the late Datuk Seri Bo’ Tajang Laing.
Dewan Usahawan Bumiputera Sarawak (DUBS) Marudi branch chairwoman Mujan Lah described Tajang as a leader of great stature — dedicated and capable, yet always humble in his leadership and service.
She said his passing marked a profound loss, particularly to the Orang Ulu community and Sarawak as a whole.
“Our community is grateful to God for his long life, which was filled with blessings, as well as for the contributions and sacrifices he made throughout his years of service,” she told Sarawak Tribune.
Mujan pointed out that Tajang, who served as the first Orang Ulu minister in the state Cabinet, played a pivotal role in shaping and uplifting the community.
“He had served as an instrument of God in guiding and transforming the community, and his legacy would continue to inspire future generations,” she said.
Mujan also extended her condolences to Tajang’s family, expressing hope that they would be granted strength and comfort during this difficult time.
“May God grant peace and strength to the family he has left behind,” she said.
