TEBEDU: Six infrastructure projects worth RM910,000 have been lined up for Tebedu under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).
Its assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada said the funding, close to RM1 million in total, would be channeled into improving roads, community facilities and village amenities.
He said the initiatives reflected the state government’s continuous commitment to improve the quality of life in rural areas.
“These projects are meant to provide better comfort and facilities for the community.
“I urge residents to take care of the upgraded infrastructure and use it wisely for the benefit of their villages,” he said during the project handover ceremony yesterday (Sept 24).
The projects include upgrading the cemetery road at Kampung Bantang, worth RM60,000, and the agricultural road in Kampung Take, which has been allocated RM200,000.
Another RM200,000 has been set aside for the construction of a new alternative road to Kampung Payau Mawang.
In addition, RM150,000 each will go to the upgrading of the cemetery road at Kampung Mawang Tahup, the refurbishment of the multipurpose hall in Kampung Reteh Karas, and the construction of a new parking area in Kampung Tebedu Bung Padus.
Simon added that the projects would further drive inclusive rural development in Tebedu and ensure communities were not left behind.
