SIBU: The Public Works Department (PWD) Sarawak has announced a temporary partial closure of the Selangau Bridge along the Sibu–Bintulu Road in Sibu Division, effective Dec 17 until further notice.
According to PWD Sarawak, the closure is necessary to carry out structural inspections on the bridge following a recent accident in the area.
The department urged motorists to exercise caution, comply with safety signs, and plan their journeys in advance to avoid traffic congestion.
PWD Sarawak also provided contact numbers for the public to obtain further information, which include the JKR Sibu Division office at 084-314040 during office hours, and PBH Asset Management via Benard at 019-8288034.
