KAPIT: Participants clad in traditional costumes added a vibrant cultural touch to the 3km Fun Walk held in conjunction with the third day of the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ (SKS) programme here this morning.

The day’s activities began with the flagging off of the 5km Fun Run at 6:15 am, followed by the 3km Fun Walk at 6:30 am from the SKS venue, with participants traversing several routes around Kapit town.

While many participants opted for sportswear, others arrived in traditional costumes, creating a colourful contrast that drew the attention of residents and visitors along the route.

The event attracted participants from various age groups, including families, civil servants, students and community leaders, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the SKS programme.

Many participants took the opportunity to capture photographs and videos throughout the walk, adding to the festive atmosphere as the streets of Kapit came alive with a blend of fitness, culture and community spirit.

The morning activities concluded with participants returning to the SKS venue, marking a lively start to the final day of the three-day programme in Kapit.
