MIRI: Two local men have been arrested for breaking into an air conditioning service premises at Jalan Usahawan 7, Eastwood Valley Industrial Estate, and stealing items worth RM2,526.
The suspects, aged 32 and 22, were apprehended by police at midday on Saturday (Feb 22), less than 48 hours after their movements were captured on the premises’ CCTV footage.
According to the complainant, the incident was discovered on Feb 21 around 8 am when an inspection of a Hilux work vehicle revealed that two units of UTP network cable were missing.
CCTV footage showed one of the suspects entering the building by climbing over the front gate.
Both suspects have been detained to assist with investigations, and the case is being probed under Section 381 of the Penal Code.
