LAWAS: Perkim Lawas Branch held a slaughtering of sacrificial animals (ibadah korban) involving two cows, one of which was donated by the branch chairlady Dato Hajah Dayang Morliah binti Datuk Haji Awang Daud and members of the branch.
The event held at Perkim Lawas Branch premises at Banting near here was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang who is also Minister of Industrial and Entrepreneurial Development and Second Minister of Urban Development and Natural Resources and his wife, Dato Hajah Dayang Morliah, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, Dato’ Henry Sum Agong.
The sacrificial meat was later distributed to the needy in Lawas district.
The event was an annual one for Perkim Lawa Branch to get closer to the people through welfare and religious activities.
