MIRI:  Three men, including two foreign nationals, aged between 58 and 59, were arrested by police on Tuesday in Bintulu for allegedly stealing Australian dollars (AUD) 15,000 (approximately RM42,450) from a vehicle belonging to an electrical equipment shop owner.

The suspects were apprehended at 3 pm on the same day following a joint operation involving the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) teams from Miri and Bintulu.

The theft reportedly occurred on Monday morning at around 9.30 am at Piasau Industrial Estate here.

Following the arrests, police successfully recovered the stolen Australian banknotes.
