KUCHING: Two project site handover ceremonies under the Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) initiative were held today (Dec 20) to facilitate the implementation of infrastructure and facility improvement works in village areas here.
One of the projects involves the Phase 1 upgrading of the Kampung Demak Baru futsal court, aimed at enhancing recreational facilities for local residents while promoting a healthy lifestyle within the community.
The site handover was attended by representatives of the State Assemblyman (ADUN), Hasfa Salleh and Jamaldin Harun, while Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) was represented by Tan Kim Chuan, Jackson Kinyang Juman, and Ahmad Jais.
Meanwhile, the second project will involve the upgrading of alleyways in the Kampung Pinang Jawa area, with a focus on improving accessibility and safety for residents.
The ceremony was attended by ADUN representative Mohamad Sabri Sahak, while DBKU was represented by Tan, Jackson, and Philip Jenggi.
The implementation of these projects reflects the government’s continued commitment, through DBKU, to enhancing the quality of basic facilities and improving the well-being of rural communities, in line with local development aspirations.
