KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has commended the commitment and efforts of the Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS) 2025 main committee in continuing to organise the annual event.

Wan Junaidi said it was important to nurture a spirit of togetherness and love for the homeland among the younger generation so that they remain connected to Sarawak’s identity and culture wherever they may be.

“My wife and I hope that this year’s programme will continue to foster a spirit of togetherness, strengthen identity, and broaden networks of solidarity among Sarawakians,” he said after a courtesy call by the organising committee at Astana Negeri Sarawak here today (Oct 21).

During the courtesy call, the delegation presented details of the event, which will take place on Saturday (Oct 25) from 7.30 pm to 11 pm at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.

The annual programme is organised by Sarawak Volunteers to strengthen ties among Sarawakians in Peninsular Malaysia and provide a platform for engagement with state leaders.

The delegation was led by Works Minister and Kapit MP Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, who also serves as chairman of the LBAS 2025 main committee.

Also present were Deputy Economy Minister and Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, Lubok Antu MP Roy Angau Gingkoi, and Serian MP Datuk Seri Dr Richard Riot Jaem.
