KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar met community leaders from Bintawa today to discuss local development, community well-being and socio-economic issues affecting the area.
The engagement took place during a morning tea session at Kasuma Resort, Petra Jaya.
Among those present were Pemanca Rosidi Junai, Penghulu Lahan Sabu and other community leaders.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Wan Junaidi to engage directly with grassroots leaders and hear their perspectives on matters affecting residents, while discussing efforts to further enhance the development and welfare of the Bintawa community.
The discussion also reflected the continued commitment to strengthen ties between the state leadership and community representatives, ensuring that the aspirations and needs of the people at the grassroots level remain given due attention.
Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation to the Pemanca, Penghulu and village chiefs for their dedication and important role in preserving unity, harmony and the well-being of the local community.
He also hoped that close cooperation between community leaders and the government would continue to be strengthened for the prosperity and well-being of the people of Sarawak.
