SIBU: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, arrived here today (July 11) ahead of the Mowe Nation Festival, scheduled to take place tonight.
The couple arrived at Sibu Airport after departing from the Hornbill Skyways Terminal in Kuching.
Upon arrival, they were welcomed by Sibu Deputy Resident Christopher Ranggau Unting, Sibu District Police Chief ACP Azahari Miskon, senior government officials, community leaders and heads of local communities.
Wan Junaidi and also joined in a doa selamat led by Sibu Division Islamic Religious Department officer Ustaz Khairul Nazri Mohd Nizam.
The visit is part of Tun Wan Junaidi’s official programme to officiate at the Mowe Nation Festival later tonight.
