KUCHING: Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi has reaffirmed her commitment to fostering partnerships between the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Women’s Association (Masnita) and other women’s organisations in Sarawak.

Masnita president Prof Dr Ramlah Zainudin said the wife of the Head of State also highlighted the importance of collaboration in enhancing children’s education, empowering women’s skills, and addressing social challenges.

“We explored ways to support the welfare of underprivileged women, especially by providing educational guidance to children from economically challenged families.

“We also discussed social issues affecting women and how we can assist female staff facing such challenges, not only within the university but throughout Sarawak,” she said.

She told the media this after leading a Masnita delegation on a courtesy call to Fauziah at Astana Negeri Sarawak on Monday (Oct 28).

The university-based association, comprising female staff and spouses of Unimas staff, aims to work closely with other women’s organisations, particularly those led by Fauziah, who is dedicated to advancing education.
