MIRI: A 26-year-old divorcée and single mother was detained by the police in Tudan Desaras Phase 6 around 9.34pm last Thursday (May 13) for allegedly threatening her boyfriend during an argument in early April.

It was reported that the woman had grabbed a knife and threatened her 39-year-old unemployed boyfriend during the quarrel.

Luckily, no injuries were reported in the 3pm incident which happened at a worker’s quarters in Tudan Desaras Phase 6.

Prior to the argument, the boyfriend had gone to see the woman in her house to express his concern that her family was bad-mouthing him for not having a job.

However, the talk turned into an argument with the woman grabbing a knife and threatening the boyfriend.

According to Miri deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol, the case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code.
