BINTULU: A 19-year-old plantation worker died in a motorcycle accident on Friday night along Jalan Pesisir Bintulu-Miri.
According to Bintulu police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali, the accident occurred around 9.35 pm near the Rajawali plantation junction.
The victim, who was riding from the Rajawali plantation to Rh Padang, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a roadside metal barrier.
“The victim sustained severe head injuries and was immediately taken to Bintulu Hospital,” Nixon said.
“Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead in the hospital’s emergency ward at 11.40 pm.”
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
