KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) is gearing up for the upcoming youth-centred SUARA 2.0 event.
A YPS delegation on Friday met with the Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations), Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, at her office in Petra Jaya.
The visit served to formally invite her as a panellist for the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) discussion, which will be among the highlights of SUARA 2.0.
Earlier, on Tuesday, YPS also called on the adviser in the Office of the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, to extend an invitation for him to participate as a speaker in the session titled “Setting the Stage: Introduction to Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030).”
Both courtesy calls underscored YPS’ commitment to equipping Sarawakian youth with factual insights on key state agendas such as MA63 and PCDS 2030, ensuring that discussions are shaped by credible sources rather than misinformation.

Led by YPS chief executive Datuk Aloysius J Dris, the meetings also served as briefings on the upcoming SUARA 2.0 programme, which aims to empower Sarawakian youth to think critically, engage in meaningful discourse, and become proactive changemakers in state development.
Organised by YPS, SUARA — short for Strength Through Unity, Alliance, and Responsive Action — was first held in 2022. The second edition, SUARA 2.0, will take place from Dec 7 to 10 at Raia Hotel and Convention Centre, here.
This year’s programme is expected to gather 50 participants from across Sarawak to exchange ideas and perspectives on key developmental themes.
