KUCHING: Recipients of Sarawak state awards and medals, who have yet to receive their honours will be presented with them during a series of 12 Investiture Ceremonies scheduled to take place at the Astana Negeri Sarawak here.
According to a statement issued by the Astana Negeri Sarawak on Thursday, the Investiture Ceremonies began on Wednesday, June 18, and will continue until August 2025.
The statement also said that a total of 1,700 recipients of Sarawak state awards and medals from 2022 to 2024 have yet to receive their awards due to previously unavoidable circumstances.
According to the latest schedule, the next Sarawak State Awards and Medals Investiture Ceremony will be held on June 25, with a rehearsal on June 24. This will be followed by a session on July 3, with the rehearsal on July 2.
The dates for the subsequent ceremonies will be announced later, based on the schedule of Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
