KUCHING: The 13th International Sago Symposium came to close at Riverside Majestic Hotel here yesterday.
Officiating at the closing ceremony was Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Datu Nasrun Datu Mansur who represented Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong and read his speech text.
250 delegates from eight countries attended the symposium which was initiated by Sarawak Department of Agriculture 41 years ago.
The delegates will be making their way to Mukah today for a post symposium tour to experience the legacy of sago in Sarawak particularly from the Melanau community.
