Search going on for missing Indian national

The search and rescue (SAR) operation for a missing Indian citizen who is believed to have drowned in Sungau Rejang, near Pulau Kampung Banyok, Sibu here entered its second day on July 21.

SIBU: The search and rescue (SAR) operation for a missing Indian citizen who is believed to have drowned in Sungau Rejang, near Pulau Kampung Banyok, here entered its second day on Tuesday (July 21).

According to the Sibu deputy police district Supt Colin Babat the first day operation started from Rejang Port until Paradom Jetty and focused more at the surrounding of barge area.

The victim was identified as Pandey Sauray, 21, from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was working at a ship.

At press time the victim was still not found.
