KUCHING: A total of 314 families from 17 longhouses affected by floods received assistance and food supplies from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) component in Engkilili on Tuesday.
The team handing over the assistance was led by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Engkilili chairman Dandi Timbang.
Several members of the Lubok Antu-Engkilili District Council (MDLA) also assisted in the distribution of the food items.
Items distributed were rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, drinking water and snacks.
The donation was from the SUPP Engkilili Branch Service Centre and was contributed by the Che Chuan Khor Moral Enhancement Organisation, Sri Aman.
Dandi thanked the organisation chairman Temenggong Kueh Aik Seng for agreeing to provide assistance in the form of food items.
