215 flood victims receive assistance

SADONG JAYA: A total of 215 flood victims from Sadong Jaya here received assistance from the Hope Place.

According to the Hope Place founder, Kelvin Wan, they received a call from the Sadong Jaya Flood Centre around 8pm on Monday to inform them that the centre was lacked of pampers, milk powder, biscuits, drinks, noodles as well as rice supplies.

“Without any delay, we (Hope Place) pack the items needed and rush to the place. We have arrived at the centre at around 12pm.

“Last week, we has received food items from the Rotary Club called ‘rise’. According to the club, ‘rise’ is imported from the United States and mainly use during disaster time.

“’Rise’ is a complete nutrition meal and one pack of ‘rise’ is enough for four adult,” he explained.
