BETONG: The roof of the walkway at SK Nanga Spak, Ulu Layar here was damaged late Monday (April 18).
Betong Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations officer Henry Jugah said they received an emergency call on the incident at about 5.59pm.
He said an operation to remove the tree that had damaged the roof could not be done immediately due to some branches landing on the power line.
“We waited for (electricity provider) Sarawak Energy Berhad first and only then we carried out the operation to remove the tree using chainsaws.”
No one was injured in the incident and the operation ended at 8.30pm.
