KUCHING: The World Excellence Entrepreneur Brand Celebrity Awards can further boost Sarawak’s eco-tourism calendar and tourism-related activities, says Datuk Snowdan Lawan.
The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts pointed out the event, organised by World Noble Organisation (WHO), pulled in entrepreneurs across the globe.
“One of the purposes of the event is to develop a strategic interactive platform for entrepreneurs who comply with International Standards for Professional Practice, enabling mutual assistance, cooperation and development while also strengthening entrepreneurial alliance.
“To quality for this award, the nominee must have his or her business brand distributed to 14 countries,” he said on Tuesday (July 19).
Snowdan was invited to officiate the 3rd World Excellence Entrepreneur Brand Celebrity Awards held at Sunway Resort Hotel, Bandar Sunway in Petaling Jaya last Saturday (July 16).
He said Sarawak was extending the invitation for the organiser to hold the event in Sarawak for the next round.
“The ceremony was attended by many notable and famous business names as well as brands from Malaysia, Hong Kong and London.”
During the event, the organiser also presented a certificate to Snowdan, entitling him to become one of the advisors to the event in appreciation of his commitment and contributions towards the success of the event.
Also present were the chairman of International Business Entrepreneur Association, Tan Sri Datuk Chang Ko Youn; founder and executive chairman of International Business Entrepreneur Association, Professor Datuk Seri Dr Chan Fa Deng; and advisor Grandmaster Datuk Dr Tock Min Kin.
