KUCHING: The first meeting of the second session of the 19th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly’s (DUN) will be held on May 15 to 24.
According to an official letter to members of the DUN which was sighted by New Sarawak Tribune, the DUN sitting will be declared open by Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud on May 15 at 9am.
The Head of State will address the Legislative Assembly after inspecting the guard of honour.
The letter stated that all state assemblymen must wear official uniform with their respective state honours and medals.
For those who do have official uniforms, they must wear dark lounge suits.
Meanwhile, the 82 assemblypersons are also asked to invite their spouse to attend the opening ceremony.
The last DUN sitting was on Nov 21 to Dec 1 last year.
