BINTULU: A single terrace house in Taman Jason Phase II here was destroyed by fire that began in one of its rooms today (Sept 17).
According to a statement from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operation Centre, firefighters from both Kidurong and Bintulu stations rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 2.24 pm. Led by Operation Commander Fabian Andy Jessi, they successfully contained the fire by 3.14 pm, wrapping up their operations by 3.35 pm.
Two neighbouring houses also suffered damage due to the intense heat from the fire.
No one was injured or harmed as the houses were unoccupied when the incident happened.
