KUCHING: Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2024 offers ticket buyers the chance to win prizes valued at over RM100,000 through a skill contest that involves answering simple questions.
This year, purchasers of Adult 3-Day passes could drive away in a Mitsubishi Triton 4X4 VGT AT Premium or ride off on an Ebixon Bold EV Bike. Meanwhile, those buying Adult 1-Day passes are eligible to win an electric bike.
“Ticket holders who have already made their purchases can enter the contest via RWMF.net or the Ticket2U platform, while new purchasers will receive a contest link via email along with their tickets,” the festival organisers said in a statement.
The festival is set to electrify the Sarawak Cultural Village from June 28 to 30, starting at 10 am each day. Attendees will enjoy a lineup of both international and local talents such as Kitaro, Havana Social Club, Datuk Zainalabidin, and Sarawak’s own Belle Sisoski.
Under the theme ‘Evolution’, RWMF 2024 will feature 21 acts comprising 68 international musicians from 14 countries across six continents and 63 Malaysian artists.
“The festival is not just a musical event but an immersive experience that combines sustainability with the unique rainforest setting, promoting responsible tourism and environmental stewardship,” it added.
A new addition this year is The Borneo Collective, a musical ensemble featuring Sarawak’s traditional instrument masters and world-class musicians from across Malaysia.
Other international acts include Alright Mela Meets Santoo (Pakistan/France), Bourbon Lassi (Australia/Malaysia), Imarhan (Algeria/France), and others. Malaysian acts like Adrian G, Alena Murang, Nisa Addina, and more will also perform.
For those committed to the full festival experience, the 3-Day Pass, priced at RM635, offers comprehensive access to all festivities. An early bird discount reduces the price to RM235 until May 5.
“Don’t miss out on the opportunity to secure your tickets at a reduced rate and compete for outstanding prizes!” it added.
