SELANGAU: Farmers here are reminded to register and fill out applications at the nearest Agriculture Department office to benefit from the assistance provided the Sarawak government.
Selangau MP Edwin Banta said registered farmers also have the opportunity to enjoy assistance from the federal level such as fertiliser assistance, agricultural tools and many more.
Other than that, he said, farmers are also able to get advice related to their crops, especially disease management, fertilisation.
“Moreover, Agrobank also provides financing facilities to farmers or gardeners. Those who are interested can contact Agrobank in Selangau,” he said.
He said this in the Agriculture Community Outreach Programme (AgriCOP) Series 3 Kakus Council at Dinner World Restaurant Bintulu on Saturday.
Following this, he also reminded farmers to choose crops that are marketable and seek the agriculture department for help to find a market for their produce.
