SARATOK: Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri has encouraged all Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) in his constituency to apply for the MADANI Community Prosperity Initiative (SejaTi) initiative.
“There are still about three months left before the application deadline at the end of September.
“SejaTi MADANI is a platform to highlight the economic potential in your respective areas. It aims to boost economic activities at the community level by giving funds up to RM100,000 to deserving communities,” said Mohamad in a speech delivered by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka Branch Secretary Gapor Ahmad at the Madani Festival at Wisma Persekutuan Saratok here recently.
He added that relevant agencies were expected to assist JKKKs with the application process, including offering advice and guidance.
Mohamad also urged government agencies here to actively promote such initiatives.
“If there are assistance programmes, please spread the word and ensure it reaches the target group.
“Many residents might not be aware of these programmes, and technology can be a powerful tool to reach them. JKKKs can utilise online platforms to disseminate information easily,” he added.
The ceremony was attended by heads and representatives of various departments and community leaders.
