MIRI: Fifty orphans from the Hamidah Yakup Miri Welfare Complex were treated to an unforgettable day at the Great British Circus here on Sunday.
It was a collaborative effort by Persatuan Kebajikan Prihatin Miri and Kita Jaga Miri.
Fitrina Raji, Vice President of the Persatuan Kebajikan Prihatin Miri highlighted the importance of creating lasting positive memories for the children, many of whom face significant life challenges.
“Our mission in organising this joint programme is to provide these children with a respite from their daily struggles and to foster a sense of community and belonging,” she said.
She said the social interaction and exposure to new experiences, such as attending the circus, can be a valuable part of the children’s social learning.
“By introducing them to new and interesting things, we hope to broaden their horizons and contribute to their overall well-being,” Fitrina added.
