BAU: The district’s Information Department (Japen) is collaborating with Mas Gading Community College and the Community Leaders and Village Chiefs (KMKK) of the Bau Malay community to disseminate information on nationalism, current affairs, and welfare initiatives of Malaysia Madani.
It aims to engage both the younger generation and villagers more effectively.
Recently, Bau Japen officer Sumardi Sugiman paid a courtesy visit to Mas Gading Community College director Khalid Husseine Tuah. The purpose was to strengthen the existing partnership and invite the college to participate in the upcoming Japen’s programme.
The discussion included promoting awareness about Malaysia Day, the Appreciation of Rukun Negara, the Sejahtera Malaysia Madani Initiatives, and social issues like online scam, cyberbullying, and drug threats.
During the visit, Sumardi presented Khalid with portraits of His Majesty King Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah, along with Malaysia Day Celebration posters.
Meanwhile, Sumardi also received a courtesy visit from the KMKK Bau Malay, who expressed their readiness to support Japen’s efforts in publicising crucial information.
The goal is to ensure villagers receive accurate and reliable information to curb the effects of misinformation on social media.
Sumardi also urged the local community to remain vigilant against online fraud and cyberbullying as it could lead to depression and financial loss.
