BINTULU: Air-Marine Cargo Agency Sdn Bhd has successfully launched its Go Green campaign in collaboration with SMK Bandar Bintulu and its students.

The programme aligns with Air Marine’s Decarbonisation Plan 2023-2026 and ran from Dec 4 to 19.

“Among the activities during the Go Green campaign was an environmental poster competition, which saw participation from 91 students across Form 1, Form 2 and Form 3 categories,” the company said in a press statement today (Dec 30).

*This environmental poster competition aims to raise awareness of the younger generation about the importance of preserving the environment, such as reducing the use of plastic in daily use, to tackle open-burning activity, exploring renewable energies such as solar energy and electric cars.”

This campaign is a noble effort by Air-Marine and SMK Bandar Bintulu in nurturing the younger generation with the hope of preserving and sustaining the future environment.

The campaign was officiated during a special evening assembly on Dec 19, attended by students, teachers, the Environmentalists Club (PALS) and representatives from Air-Marine.

“Air-Marine also handed over nine units of recycling bins to the school, to educate the younger generation in the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle program (3R). This effort is hoped to increase the awareness of the younger generation of the importance of environmental conservation.”
