SRI AMAN: The Service Sarawak Centre (SSC) Sri Aman Branch is serving a central role in facilitating residents’ registration for the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS).
A survey conducted on-site by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) on Friday found that SSC Sri Aman had received more than 200 visitors between 8 am and 9.15 am.
Many were present to register or update their S Pay Global application for the SKAS disbursement.
To accommodate the large number of visitors, SSC Sri Aman deployed additional staff to ensure the registration process ran smoothly.
Despite its efforts, the overwhelming response meant some visitors experienced longer waiting times.
Meanwhile, a visitor, Ricky Sumpit from Kampung Sebemban Pantu, expressed his gratitude to the Sarawak government for the SKAS initiative.
“This assistance is invaluable to my family, particularly as we face the rising cost of living,” he said.
