SRI AMAN: A family of six sustained minor injuries after an accident involving a compact hatchback near Kampung Gua along Jalan Serian–Sri Aman early this morning.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) in a statement said its station in Sri Aman had responded to a distress call at 7.16 am and arrived at the scene shortly after.
“The accident did not involve any other vehicle and the injured victims were able to exit the car safely.
“The vehicle was believed to have skidded off the road. Fortunately, none of the occupants were trapped,” the department said, while adding that those who were hurt sustained only minor injuries.
They added that the affected invidivuals were aged between 15 and 60.
Four of the injured were later transported to Sri Aman Hospital by the department’s Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS), while the remaining two were taken by an ambulance from the Ministry of Health (MoH) for treatment.
