KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Ja’afar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy visit from the delegation of the 2025 TYT Sarawak Head of State Trophy Madani Youth Forum Competition organising committee on Monday (July 7).
The visit, held at 10am at Astana Negeri Sarawak, was led by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Malaysia director-general Dr Hazami Jahari, accompanied by Sarawak Education Department director Omar Mahli and DBP Sarawak director Dr Azizul Ismail.
The main purpose of the courtesy visit was to formally invite Wan Junaidi to officiate the competition, which is scheduled to take place on July 14 at the Balai Budaya, DBP Sarawak.
In addition to recognising such competitions as a vital foundation for building identity and leadership qualities among future leaders, Wan Junaidi expressed that the initiative has the potential to spark awareness of the importance of knowledge, decorum, and the role of youth in national development.
The couple expressed their appreciation for the concerted efforts of DBP, the Sarawak Education Department, and all parties involved in making the competition a success, which supports the aspirations of youth education and character development.
Also present were head of Corporate Communications Division Norhasmanalinda Mustapa; project manager of the competition Stephanie Lenya Chaong; corporate officer of DBP Sarawak Nasir Hamid and official photographer Norfazrie Isquandy Nurol.
