KUCHING: Sarawak were crowned overall champions at the 2025 Allianz-MSN-PBM National Boccia Circuit 2, held from July 7 to 14 at the Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre in Kampung Pandan, Kuala Lumpur.
Led by head coach Honseng Andrias Nyawin, the team delivered an exceptional performance throughout the week-long meet, securing a total of seven medals – three golds and four silvers – to top the national rankings.
Gold medals were won in the BC1 Women, BC3 Men, and BC4 Men events. Meanwhile, silvers came in the BC1 Men, BC2 Men, BC3 Women, and BC3 Mixed categories – showcasing Sarawak’s strength across all classes.
Coach Honseng expressed his delight with the team’s showing:
“This success highlights the consistent growth and fighting spirit of our athletes. They pushed hard and showed true resilience in every match.”
He noted the rising competitiveness of the field and credited his athletes for staying focused under pressure and delivering results.
