The handover of duties, witnessed by Department of Internal Security and Public Order (GOF) Deputy Director Datuk Mohamad Suzrin Mohamad Rodhi, took place at the Senior Officers’ Mess, Sarawak GOF Brigade Headquarters this morning.
In his farewell address, Che Ghazali expressed his gratitude to the brigade for their commitment and teamwork throughout his tenure.
“My new rank and posting are not solely due to my own efforts, but because of the spirit of expertise, unity and professionalism shown by Sarawak GOF personnel in working together and achieving our targets.
“This year, up to July, our KPI performance has increased by 405 per cent compared to last year.

“I hope this legacy will be continued and further improved under the new leadership. I believe in the ability of the new commander, Lim, to steer the Sarawak GOF Brigade’s leadership in maintaining and building on our continuity and achievements in the future,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lim in his speech, shared his career journey in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) since 1991, including a decade with the GOF serving in the 4th, 9th and 19th Battalions.
“Sarawak is not foreign to me, having served as Kuching Criminal Investigation Division (CID) chief for four years before leaving in 2017 to become Hulu Selangor District Police Chief until 2019.
“I later returned to take on the role as State CID Deputy Chief for Investigation and Legal Affairs,” he said.
Lim expressed hope that the brigade would continue to work hard, maintain discipline, and uphold a strong team spirit.
He called on officers and personnel to give their full commitment to him in leading the formation with spirit of expertise, unity, professionalism, integrity and progressiveness so that it could become one of the best in the country.
The ceremony also witnessed the handing over of duties for Sarawak GOF Brigade Police Family Association (PERKEP) Chairperson from Siti Nabihan Che Abdullah to Tan Kha Ching, witnessed by KDNKA PERKEP Vice-Chairperson, Datin Syamson Syuhaila Razali.
